Framework for Success
In a tweet response to a question asked of him regarding laws he would have on Mars, Elon Musk simply stated “Let the Martians decide their own future”.
This approach is a good one but like all civilizations before, law and order is what made it possible. Going off world without a framework of governance and expectations, the IPC will face unnecessary turmoil as it figures out its acceptable societal norms. The model shown in Fig 2 as previously seen by Mr. Musk provides a framework to do just that. It is a business, governance, security model with developmental capabilities ensuring a future colonial population influx.
This model is a stepping stone to mitigate chaos and turmoil while the colonies figure out their societal and cultural governance and way of life. It is a model easily modified as the colony coalesces into a new civilization.
